Hurricane Emily, a Cat-4 storm in the lower Caribbean. Not aimed for us, thankfully, but it looks like Cancun and then Texas are in for it.

This is the fifth named storm of the year, and the fifth to make it to a hurricane. Active year.

Edit Okay, I looked it up. Arlene, Bret, and Cindy didn't make it to hurricane status, though they were close. So, it's actually kinda normal. Move along, nothing to see here.

The Captain likes to sleep with the TV on - usually CNN. In the summer, when I'm not working, it's not a problem. But it has been somewhat funny to, whilst mostly asleep, hear "Emily appears to be headed for big trouble in Texas".

Yeah, every time I hear of it, I think of your Emmy, as well as an Emilie on my friends-list (who happens to be in Australia and not the southern Caribbean)
